Ideal World Game

۞ The basic rule of thumb I was going by is that Excel wouldn't be bothered by complaints about the world, but would always be affected by talk about Sabra, and would generally ignore anything she didn't want to hear.

۞ Things were pretty much on-track up to the point where I split the party. I wasn't actually expecting non-Hydraculas so I had no idea what to do with Ikki. There was no way Excel would ever let him in her throne room. 8D;; I had this dumb brainwashing facility under the base that I had really only intended as a silly flavor text, but I found myself really wishing I'd been smart enough to plan something awesome down there. So I ended up just creeping Ikki out a little until I got them out of there.

۞ I was going to have a meeting in the throne room with ant!Elgala and Hyatt presenting silly court cases, but then Hyatt was in Ikki's thread and people were also riling up Excel faster than I'd predicted, and this was right where I ran out what very little prep I actually did. So consequentially, not a lot happened in there. If I'd been thinking, I would have put the Pavotorium first and done the throne room last!

۞ As for the Pavotarium, my original idea involved letting the party choose between several dumb areas based on all the teams she liked - the Lizardome where Lacertas cooked for her, a Cepheus library thing, and a magical Delphinus waterpark - but for whatever reason the Pavotarium was the only one that I had a specific vision for what the npcs were doing in it (ie, being Excel's bitches). Using Pavo worked anyway, at least, since she's actually pretty upset about Rapunzel and Howl right now, even if she's not admitting it. Also I can't quite justify why Zero was in the Pavotarium, except that I wanted him to wear a jester outfit and tell vampire jokes. CAN YOU BLAME ME? NO I THOUGHT NOT.

۞ So originally I envisioned her team just almost talking her down, but then cardboard Il Palazzo turning her against them for EPIC BOSS BATTORU. I would have had cardboard Il Palazzo borrow Excel's soul gem (CAN I CALL IT THAT? I MEAN IT'S HER SOUL AND IT'S ALSO A GEM), thus achieving actual tangible powers, and the two of them would have fought the party as a tag team. Of course, by the time the party got that far we were short on time and I was short on energy from winging everything else. Though maybe it's good because what would I have even done if they accidentally managed to damage her soul gem? The answer is I do not even know what would have done and it would have been bad.

MORAL OF THE STORY: HAVING FANTASY SEQUENCES ABOUT A GAME YOU ARE GOING TO RUN ISN'T THE SAME THING AS ACTUALLY DOING PREP FOR IT. \o/;;

Not calling hiatus 'cause I'll have internet here and there, but between AWA and school I will be super scarce from now until Wednesday or so.

Lucky's on zombie watch duty and Toaster's... a metal ball, they probably put him in a corner somewhere and forgot. Or maybe he accidentally messed up his sound drivers and can't figure out how to fix them because he's not very computer-savvy. IDK WHATEVS I won't be gone that long.

Excel's been in Sabra for a looong time, and has had a lot of memories back (I kinda lost count, but it's around 50, give or take). This is the write-up for the last of her neg-sigs, and probably the last memory that's going to be able to even nudge her character development.

EXCEL ON STATUS EFFECT WEEK: Accord the Sexual Harassment Headmonster! I'll be using the journal unholy_brownie for this, which hopefully won't cause any confusion, what with how much all the icons are of Excel with black hair. :U

Basically, Excel has been possessed by an ultra-powerful, uh... glowing purple crystal thing, who is... pretty much the worst character ever. Yes.

NOTES FOR THE PSYCHICS:
۞ Accord's true form looks like this; it doesn't care if you see that, nor does it care enough to put up a bracer ward.
۞ Excel is still in there! She's conscious and aware of everything happening. Suffice it to say she's not enjoying herself.
۞ Accord can be conversed with psychically and can probably see your headmonsters if you would like it to.
۞ Also it never opens Excel's eyes all the way. But if it did they'd be slitted.

Sometimes I forget that I need these things for my own reference. For several months at a time, apparently. Sob. I am not going to work so hard as to find WHEN she took them, but at the very least, I will mark off what she has taken, roughly in the order that she took it!

OH MY GOSH it's actually been more than a month since I've done my last questions meme. I am actually kind of proud of myself! But not so proud as to not immediately put up a new questions meme.

YOU KNOW THE DRILL.

Mirror gave Excel her ROBOT BODY. Her real body is safe(?) in Mirror's realm and will be returned to her sooner or later.

To ordinary human senses, she looks and sounds the same. Her skin feels real enough, as long as you're not prodding hard enough to notice she's all metal underneath. Beyond that, all bets are off. She weighs a good half-ton, emits electronic signals, has no smell or heartbeat. Doesn't eat, doesn't sleep. Her soul doesn't quiiiite belong there, but it's a darn snug fit.

She needs to let her battery recharge once every 30 hours or she'll crash (but it recharges via HER SOUL so at least it doesn't require an outlet). Also robot body-hopping makes you loopy and senile, but it's Excel so maybe no one will notice?

Also she can shoot energy beams. :Da
